Tensions between India and Pakistan spiked after New Delhi abrogated provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution to withdraw Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories on August 5.
Similarly, Pakistan’s pulsating standpoint on the disputed nature of entire Jammu Kashmir, ignoring the decade’s old stand on the human rights situation in Indian administered Kashmir and a new policy to respond only if India eyes on Azad Kashmir speaks the nature of interests both are negotiating through backdoor channels.
He cited the discovery of charred bodies of Kashmiri youth from the debris of five houses destroyed by the Indian forces at Bahmnoo and Kakpora in Pulwama, which had been burnt beyond visual recognition.
“He was supposed to stay with me at my rented accommodation in Jamia Nagar but decided to book a hotel because my flat was shared by a couple of other persons,” Malik Aabid told The Hindu.
“We continue to be very concerned by reports of detentions, and continued restrictions on the residents of the region,” a senior State Department official told reporters.
Sitting outside the police station alongside Rah on Tuesday were dozens of other locals who said their relatives were also in custody – among them 21 boys from the most recent night raid.
The occupation authorities continue to maintain strict curfew with the deployment of thousands of Indian troops in every nook and corner of the Kashmir valley, turning it into a military garrison and big concentration camp.

After Friday prayers hundreds of Kashmiri based Seminary Students organised a massive rally in the Iranian city of Qom to protest against the scrapping of a constitutional provision that granted special status to Indian-administered Kashmir.
“We wholeheartedly and sincerely want them to come back, but will oppose any move to settle them in separate colonies as it negates the very fabric of our social, cultural and mutual bonds,” he said.
