In a statement issued on Friday, the hardline separatist leader, who advocates Kashmir’s merger with Pakistan, said people should organise peaceful protests and demonstrations in their areas of residence.
“Our neighbour is knocking on the doors of the international community saying India made a mistake. Talks with Pakistan will be held only if it stops supporting terror,” he categorically said.
He also said India is passing through a “deep crisis” and it needs the cooperation of like-minded people.

“I feel the only way is through dialogue and political settlement of the Kashmir issue not through military means,” Imran stressed.
Unlike conflicts in Palestine and Northern Ireland, not much has been written about Kashmir. But a body of work, penned mostly by ‘outsiders’, has emerged in the past 67 years.
