Another name of Rawalakot is “Pearl Valley” because of a very large amount of almond blossoms in this valley in summer season which gives the feeling of scattered pearls.

The weather of Rawalakot is quite erratic. It has mild to warm temperature during the spring and autumn, humid during summer and cold to snowy during the winter.

Farming for corn, rice and wheat is popular in Rawalakot. Besides these extensive vegetables farming like tomatoes, potatoes and spinach are also conducted here.

Ziarat is the capital of Ziarat District, located in the province of Balochistan.
