The agony of desperate Kashmiris

This is the story of Nasir and all other Kashmiris who are far away from their homeland for their jobs and studies. They have been in traumatic condition due to unanticipated lockdown of Kashmir Valley.

Time is flying every moment. It keeps changing hours, days and months, producing the fruit of struggle and hard work for the world. But it has been stopped somewhere for some people for some reasons. It has not been changing for them with every tick tick of the clock and by changing of dawn and dusk.

Their days and nights have been suffering from the torment of communication “blackout”. It’s been more than a month that they have not had any contact with their families, blood relation, friends etc. Even they don’t know anything about them either they are alive or not.

This is the story of Nasir and all other Kashmiris who are far away from their homeland for their jobs and studies. They have been in traumatic condition due to unanticipated lockdown of Kashmir Valley. Especially students are totally helpless for their expenses, fees and are desperate to communicate with their parents, siblings and relatives.

Among them, very few have expressed their feelings on social media but most of them are in deep distress. They are afraid of violent consequences in case of showing their identities and emotions. They are held in a prison of fear. Someone approached me via social media and discussed all these problems in a feeling of great sorrow.

The words appeared on screen made my eyes wet. I decided to show these facts in black and white to let the world know the agony of distressed Kashmiris. They may burst into tears so many times in their rooms but are compelled to hide their anxiety to lead a normal life. In fact, they are drowning and dying inside, in the ocean of pain and mental torture.

Do respect their feelings, needs, emotions and comprehend their problems. There must be a way for them to contact their homes. They have been waiting for communication with trepidation.please! Don’t ruin their lives and futures.
